Berlin police shot and killed 21-year-old Abdul Ballout, a German citizen of Lebanese background suspected of carrying out an alleged Islamist terror attack at Berlin Pride.
Ballout reportedly rammed a rented van into a crowd near Tiergarten park on July 25, 2026, and stabbed multiple people, leaving one woman dead and at least 29 others injured. Following a daylong citywide manhunt, tactical officers located him at an allotment garden complex in the western borough of Spandau. Police opened fire and killed him after he lunged at officers with a knife.
