Devastating wildfires across France and Spain have forced more than 300,000 residents to evacuate their homes. France is experiencing one of its largest forest fires since World War Two, destroying hundreds of homes and claiming three lives, including two firefighters, with a major blaze burning just 15 kilometres from Bordeaux. The Tour de France final stage has been shortened to allow security crews to assist firefighting efforts, while Spain's Prime Minister warns of difficult hours ahead as fires approach Madrid and Valencia.
