הוראה ממ"ש בתחילת פ' עקב "והי' עקב תשמעון . . ושמר ה' אלקיך וגו'": הברכה ד"ושמר ה' אלקיך לך את הברית ואת החסד אשר נשבע לאבותיך וגו'" באה בגלל העבודה ד"עקב תשמעון" – קבלת-עול. דאע"פ שצ"ל "תמים תהי' עם הוי' אלקיך", שיש לעבוד את ה' עם כל האיברים כולל השכל שבמוח והרגש שבלב, אבל השכל והרגש מצ"ע הם מוגבלים, ובכדי שעבודת ה' תהי' בלתי-מוגבלת ה"ז דוקא כשהאדם חדור עם קבלת-עול שעי"ז הוא דבוק בה' שהוא א"ס. ועבודה זו נוגע בעיקר ב"עקבתא דמשיחא", דבכדי להתגבר על העקביים דגלות ה"ז ע"י העבודה דבחי' עקב בקדושה. ועוד.
