This week Rob is joined by guest presenter Simon. The theme revolves around films of concerts and music festivals. Starting off is The Cure from their concert film The Cure In Orange featuring their big hit Close To Me. Probably the most lauded concert film was The Band’s: The Last Waltz. A highlight was their version of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. The film of the famous pop festival Woodstock showcased Neil Young’s introduction into Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young for their epic Suite :Judy Blue Eyes. The Aussie answer to Woodstock was the Sunbury Pop Festival in the early seventies. Very few female singers took part. One exception was Aussie troubadour Margaret Roadknight with her sardonic Girls In Our Town. Finally Elvis made a comeback film for television in 1968 which featured many of his hits including One Night.
