Published 1 year, 2 months ago
Description

A Wisconsin couple — mechanical engineer Paul Van Duyne and pharmacy student Andrea Whitaker — are accused of attempting to murder two of Paul’s former romantic partners using a sophisticated series of poison attacks involving banned substances like thallium, cyanide, abrin, and hydrogen sulfide. Investigators say the pair planted toxic substances in the victims’ cars and water bottles, and police recovered a chilling “kill kit” from Paul’s vehicle, as well as incriminating messages and search histories on Whitaker’s phone. Law&Crime’s Chris Stewart breaks down the criminal charges both are facing on this episode of On the Case.
