Lexington police say 21-year-old Laken Snelling has been arrested after officers found a deceased infant hidden in a closet, wrapped in a towel and placed inside a trash bag. Investigators allege Snelling admitted to giving birth, concealing the evidence, and discarding the baby along with cleaning supplies. She is now charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant, while the coroner works to determine the child’s cause of death.
