Authorities revealed new details in the case of 21-year-old former University of Kentucky cheerleader and beauty queen Laken Snelling, accused of concealing the birth of her baby after the infant was found dead in a trash bag inside her closet. A third party, not Snelling, reportedly called police, and when officers arrived they discovered the newborn wrapped in a towel and “cold to the touch,” while Snelling herself was located nearly an hour later. She has pleaded not guilty to charges including abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, posted a $100,000 bond, and remains under house arrest. Law&Crime’s Chris Stewart is On the Case.
