In Monroe County, Illinois, 14-year-old Emma Schultheis was tragically killed when her father, David, allegedly fired a gun at a bird and the bullet struck her instead. Prosecutors have charged him with reckless discharge of a firearm, while business owner Karen Schwarze is accused of hiding the weapon and obstructing the investigation, leading to felony charges against her as well.
