Former TV news anchor Angelynn Mock, once known for her morning broadcasts, is now accused of fatally stabbing her 81-year-old mother, Anita Avers, in Wichita, Kansas. Police say Mock, who was found covered in blood after allegedly telling dispatchers she “had to stab her mother to save herself,” has been charged with first-degree murder. Mock appeared in court for the first time this week, where she smiled briefly on camera, and is being held on $1 million bond with her next hearing set for November 14.
