We want the relationship now.
We want the respect and recognition now.
We want the money and the opportunities now.
In our impatience,
we are tempted to do things
that threaten tomorrow’s harvest.
Patience and perseverance are not passive.
They are often our greatest acts of faith,
especially when we’re tired.
