En: The sun was shining brightly, its warm light gently dancing on the waves of green water.

En: In the distance, there was a small island with a little church, its steeples rising towards the blue sky.

En: It was summer, and everything around was buzzing with life – the cheerful laughter of tourists rowing on the lake or strolling along the paths.

Sl: Toda Matej ni bil med njimi.

En: But this summer was different.

En: A leg injury had stopped him, and although it was only temporary, he felt restless.

En: Every glance at the people walking around the lake filled him with a mix of envy and sadness.

Sl: Ob njem je sedela Nina, njegova dobra prijateljica.
En: Next to him sat Nina, his good friend.

Sl: "Kaj če bi poskusil nekaj novega?
En: "What if you tried something new?"

Sl: " je predlagala.
En: she suggested.

En: She knew about his passion for nature, but also how hard it was for him to stay still.

En: "Maybe you could take a boat and go on the lake."

Sl: "Matej je razmislil o njeni ideji.
En: Matej considered her idea.

Sl: Nikoli ni opazoval jezera iz vode.
En: He had never observed the lake from the water.

En: Perhaps, he thought, it would indeed be a good idea.

En: A view from a boat would allow him a different perspective without straining his injured leg.

En: With Luka, a friend who was vacationing near Bled, they made an arrangement, and the next morning they rented a small boat.

Sl: Veslala sta skupaj proti otoku.
En: They rowed together towards the island.

Sl: Z vsakim potegom vesla je Matej začutil, kako napetost popušča, kako narava okoli njega deluje kot balzam za njegove skrbi.

Sl: Na jezeru je bilo
