Sergio is an Army veteran and a graduate of Florida International University. He was born in El Salvador but fled to the United States during the civil war in 1981. He has been living in Miami since then, visiting El Salvador whenever he could. Initially this was only every 5 years or so, and he can tell us first-hand how the country has been changing drastically over the years. Under President Bukele, El Salvador is stable and growing, and he can visit 5 to 7 times a year.

Having been to El Salvador myself, I've seen how much it is growing and how safe it is. It wasn't always like this. I'm really looking forward to hearing from Sergio stories from El Salvador's history, the lessons we can learn from that here in America, and the hope that can be had in the future. As he says, "What we do in life echoes in eternity."
