COMING BACK FROM FUTO đ
Description
I slept over in FUTO yesterday and honestly it was one of those nights where you just gist till your eyes are heavy. We were in the hostel laughing, talking about school, church, and all the random things that come to mind at midnight. I didnât even plan to stay long but before I knew it I was already making my bed and settling in. The next morning I woke up early because I had to go to my auntyâs place. I packed my bag, did a quick face, and by 4pm I was already leaving FUTO gate. The sky was cloudy and you could tell rain was threatening but I just wanted to get there on time.
I entered a bike because thatâs the fastest way to move around here and the road was exactly like what you see in the video. Dusty, wide, with potholes everywhere and electric poles lining both sides. The bike man was moving fast but carefully because of how bad some parts of the road were. I was holding my bag tight and watching the houses, the fences, and the few cars passing. From FUTO to my auntyâs place took a while. We passed other bikes, a few kekes, and even one truck that had people sitting on top. The whole ride felt long but I was just thinking about resting because tomorrow is Sunday and I have church service and movement.
I got to my auntyâs place by 5:30pm. The moment I entered she was already asking if I had eaten and if the road was fine. I dropped my bag, greeted everyone, and just sat down for a bit. The compound was calm, no noise, just the sound of people talking outside. I told her about how I slept over in FUTO and how I had to rush out by 4 so I wonât be late. She laughed and said âyou young people and your movements.â After that I just freshened up and laid down because my body was tired from the bike ride and the bumpy road.
Resting was exactly what I needed because tomorrow is going to be a full day. Church service in the morning, then movement after. I set my alarm and told myself no sleeping late tonight. My aunty already said sheâll wake me up early so I wonât miss anything. I was lying on the bed thinking about how different FUTO was at night and how calm her place is in the evening. The video I took on the bike really captured the road â empty, dusty, with clouds above â and thatâs exactly how the journey felt. Tired but peaceful.
Now Iâm just here resting and preparing mentally for tomorrow. From sleeping over in FUTO, to leaving by 4, to getting here by 5:30, itâs been a whole day of movement. Iâll wake up early, go for church, and then continue with whatever plans we have. The road was rough but I made it safe, and thatâs what matters. Tomorrow will be church, gist, and more movement, but for now Iâm just going to rest and charge my phone.
THANKS FOR VISITING đ
