Cs: Slunce jasně svítí na Prahu a rozzáří historické kameny Karlova mostu.
En: The sun shines brightly on Praha, illuminating the historical stones of Karlův most.

Cs: Vlny Vltavy pod ním se tiše valí, kolem mostu se pohybují turisté a pouliční umělci předvádějí svá čísla.
En: The waves of the Vltava river beneath it roll quietly, tourists move around the bridge, and street performers showcase their acts.

Cs: V celém tom ruchu stojí Jirka, pečlivě zkoumá mapu, která vypadá, že zažila lepší časy.
En: In the midst of this hustle and bustle stands Jirka, carefully examining a map that looks like it has seen better days.

Cs: „Musí to být tuhle cestou, Pavlíno,“ řekl a ukazoval na mapu.
En: "It must be this way, Pavlína," he said, pointing at the map.

Cs: Pavlína se jen usmála, vítr jí cuchal vlasy.
En: Pavlína just smiled, the wind tousling her hair.

Cs: „Nebuď tak napjatý, Jirko,“ řekla s úsměvem.
En: "Don't be so tense, Jirko," she said with a smile.

Cs: „Pojďme prostě jít a uvidíme, kam nás cesta zavede.“
En: "Let's just walk and see where the path takes us."

Cs: Jirka chtěl dokonalý piknik u řeky.
En: Jirka wanted a perfect picnic by the river.

Cs: Připravil perfektní plán - jediné, co musel udělat, bylo následovat mapu.
En: He had prepared a flawless plan - all he had to do was follow the map.

Cs: Ale mapa měla svůj vlastní názor.
En: But the map had its own opinion.

Cs: Někde mezi 17. stoletím a současností zřejmě zabloudila.

Cs: „Tady to má být,“ prohlásil Jirka, když se zastavili u malby na chodníku.

Cs: Ale místo idylického místa na piknik byli přímo uprostřed shonu Karlova mostu.
En: But instead of an idyllic picnic spot, they were right in the middle of the hustle of Karlův most.

Cs: Pavlína se zasmála, když viděla Jirkův výraz.
En: Pavlína laughed when she saw Jirka's expression.

Cs: „Nebylo to místo, kam jsem chtěla, ale… podívej,“ a ukázala na volavku, která letěla nad řekou.
En: "It's not the place I wanted, but... look," and she pointed at a heron flying over the river.

Cs: Jirka si uvědomil, že možná plán není všechno.
En: Jirka realized that maybe the plan wasn't everything.

Cs: Nepozorovaně pustil mapu zpět do kapsy a řekl: „Co kdybychom šli tvým směrem?“
En: Unnoticed, he slipped the map back into his pocket and said, "How about we go your way?"

Cs: Kráčeli tedy dál po mostě, nechali za sebou davy a zabočili do malebných pražských ulic.
En: So, they continued walking across the bridge, leaving the crowds behind, and turned into the picturesque streets of Praha.

Cs: Šli, bavili se a trochu bloudili.
En: They walked, chatted, and wandered a bit.
