Back to EpisodesPsalm 19: Amazed By God’s Greatness
Description
The sky is doing more than looking pretty, it’s telling the truth about God. In Psalm 19, David looks up at the heavens, watches the steady path of the sun, and realizes creation is constantly declaring God’s glory. That sense of wonder is easy to lose when we’re busy, but it might be one of the simplest ways God wakes our hearts back up.
We walk through Psalm 19 and talk about what it means that nature “speaks without a sound” while still making God known. Then we follow David’s turn toward Scripture: God’s instructions revive the soul, bring joy to the heart, and give insight for daily living. If you’ve been craving clarity, wisdom, and a faith that feels fresh again, this psalm ties those desires directly to time in God’s Word, not as a checkbox, but as a life-giving practice.
We also share a personal picture of how kids can see beauty adults ignore, dandelions, leaves, the small details we rush past. That leads to a simple challenge: watch a sunset tonight, or a sunrise if you’re up late, and let it remind you that God didn’t have to make the world this beautiful, but He chose to. We close with David’s prayer, asking God to shape “the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart.”
