Description

DUNNAGE :: SCRIMSHAW is an immersive, slow-paced art experience blending sculpture, text, prints, and sound at Salt Pond Studio in Friendship, Maine—featuring Douglas W. Milliken and Terry James Conrad. Running July 31–August 8, the show opens with a literary-musical performance on Aug 1 and closes with Milliken’s reading from his new book and Conrad’s talk on ocean microbiology. Explore salvaged-material soundscapes from their experimental DUNNAGE project, browse unique instruments and recordings, and enjoy artist receptions with fire pits and grills. A one-of-a-kind fusion of art, science, and storytelling in a historic 1850s schoolhouse.
