First, a look at the events of the day.

Then, The Chase and Sanborn Hour, originally broadcast  July 24, 1938, 88 years ago, Guest Spencer Tracy.   Charlie McCarthy tries to sell tickets for his play, being held in a barn. Spencer Tracy and Edward Arnold appear in "Five Star Final."  Unfortunately, many parts of the show are missing. 

Followed by Crime Club, originally broadcast July 24, 1947, 79 years ago, Serenade Macabre.  A circus triangle story. A murdered lion tamer causes the trouble. 

Then, A Life in Your Hands, originally broadcast July 24, 1952, 74 years ago, Eddie Phillips Escapes from Jail.   Randall Marsden, an aspiring politician, is found shot. Eddie Phillips broke out of prison before he was scheduled to be executed.

Finally, Lum and Abner, originally broadcast July 24, 1935, 91 years ago, Proper Etiquette.   A Pine Ridge social tea is described. The Mad Hatter would have felt right at home!
