Qantas has completed its first Project Sunrise test flight, with an Airbus A350-1000 Ultra Long Range aircraft landing in Melbourne after travelling 17,000 kilometres from France. The 19 hour and 15 minute flight carried four pilots and five engineers, marking a significant milestone for the ultra-long-range aircraft that will enter Qantas service next year. Hundreds of plane spotters gathered at Melbourne Airport to witness the historic arrival of the aircraft, painted in Airbus test colours.
