הענין ד"פדה בשלום נפשי וגו'" נפעל ע"י ה"ואני אבטח בך" (תהלים נה). ההוראה הברורה לזמנים אלו: ישנם בעלי מרה-שחורה" שעושים חשבון עפ"י הטבע שהנה מה שהסתמכו על פלוני וכו' התברר ש"חסד לאומים חטאת" וכו'. יש לדעת שאם יש את ה"ואני אבטח בך", אזי בודאי שיהי' "פדי'" ובאופן ד"שלום". עד ש"ברבים היו עמדי" – שגם "אנשי אבשלום התפללו לנצחונו של דוד". ובעבודת האדם: "דוד" קאי על יצה"ט, ו"אנשי אבשלום" קאי על (אלו שיש להם עסק עם) היצה"ר. הנה ע"י ה"ואני אבטח בך" פועלים תחילה "בפנים" שעניני היצה"ר מתהפכים לטוב, ואח"כ גם "בחוץ" ממנו ומעם ישראל – שמתפטרים מכל הדאגות, בלבולים, טרדות ואיומים של השבעים אומות וכל אביזרייהו, והכל מתהפך באופן של "פדי' בשלום", עד שזה בא באופן של שמחה גלוי' שרואים בעיני בשר (וכהדין בשמחת יו"ט שצ"ל דוקא באופן שגם הגוף הגשמי והחומרי ישמח).

Kapitel 55 of Tehillim states: “He redeemed my soul with peace from the battle that came upon me, because of the many who were with me…but I will trust in You” – it is when one places his trust in Hashem that his soul is redeemed in peace. The clear lesson for the present era is as follows: there are pessimists who make calculations based on the natural order and conclude that relying on this person or that person has failed and shown that “the kindness of the nations is sin” etc. But one must know that when “I trust in You,” then there will certainly be redemption, and it will be “with peace,” to the extent that “the many were with me” – even “Avshalom’s men davened for Dovid’s victory.” In a person’s Divine service: “Dovid” refers to the yetzer tov, while “Avshalom’s men” refers to the yetzer hara (and those struggling with it). When one trusts in Hashem, he first undergoes an inner transformation, so that the yetzer-hara etc. is transformed to good. Then, this also affects what is outside oneself and the Jewish people – thereby freeing them from all worries, distractions, and threats from the seventy nations and everything associated with them, so that everything is “redeemed with peace” to the point of visible, tangible joy. (Like the law regarding the joy of a festival, which must be experienced even by the physical body).
