This week, we’re unpacking Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, the latest project from BlackBerry director Matt Johnson. From its origins as a webseries in the 2000s, to it’s Vice Cable channel (?) show, to the now first (good) "time travel to the 2000s" movie.
Join us as we break down the manic, delusional duo of Matt Johnson and Jay McCarroll. We discuss: Nostalgia, Guerrilla Filmmaking, Canadian Identity, and Postmodernism.
