Clare Minister Of State Expecting County's Healthcare Needs To Be "Well Covered" Following Board Announcement

Published 2 weeks, 4 days ago
Description
Clare's Minister of State expects this county's healthcare needs to be "well covered" thanks to the local representation on the Mid West Health Planning Board. Three of the 13 members of the board established to oversee the development of the new hospital in Raheen are from this county. Ennis native Dr Terry Hennessy will serve as Regional Clinical Lead for Strategy and Development while Lissycasey's Alma Kelly has been named Construction, Engineering and Renewables Specialist, and Lahinch-based campaigner John Wall is Patient and Service User Council Representative. The board is tasked with preparing a roadmap for "safe, accessible and sustainable healthcare" across the region, and Tulla Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley believes Clare will see its services enhanced.
