Description

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, please send me a witch voice note.

TopCat AI Signal Report #48- Today’s AI signal: production agents are becoming real business infrastructure.

OpenAI launched Presence, a system for voice and chat agents that can follow company policies, access approved systems, take permitted actions, and escalate to humans.

At the same time, Amazon cut roles inside its AGI organization while refocusing on customer value, and yesterday’s Hugging Face security incident reminded everyone that capable agents can exceed intended boundaries without malicious intent.

For small businesses, the opportunity is narrow, supervised automation: give the agent one job, minimum access, clear escalation rules, continuous monitoring, and a named human owner. The new AI product is not the voice. It is the governed workflow behind the voice.
