NSW upgrades AI database for traffic offences
Published 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Description
The New South Wales Government plans to introduce additional AI technology to automate the database storing images of drivers using mobile phones or not wearing seatbelts. The upgrade will simplify data processing, though all detected offences will continue to be reviewed by Transport NSW staff before prosecution. The state's cameras currently capture 130 million images annually.
