Wentworth Park greyhound track to close after 94 years
Published 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Description
Wentworth Park greyhound racing track in inner Sydney will close in October after 94 years of operation, with the site scheduled for demolition by year's end. The venue is being transformed into a new sporting field and park that will connect with the old Fish Market redevelopment and a new park beneath the ANZAC Bridge. The combined development will create a strip of green space and housing equivalent in size to Darling Harbour.
