Bear Safety Events in Missoula | Bozeman News

Published 3 weeks ago
Description

Bears are real in Montana — and staying safe around them starts with education. Missoula’s Fish, Wildlife and Parks is hosting free, hands-on bear safety workshops to teach you how to avoid encounters, what to do if you meet one, and how to keep bears away from your home. Topics include bear behavior, using bear spray, making noise while hiking, and securing trash. Events run Fridays through Sept. 16, starting July 24 — all at the Missoula FWP office. Don’t miss this chance to learn how to coexist safely with Montana’s wild neighbors.
