From there it's straight into ACC Media Week, where Darian Mensah explains why he left Duke for the freedom of Shannon Dawson's offense, and the crew breaks down the money situation that pushed him out of that Duke locker room in the first place. Manny Diaz gets his say on the tampering questions that followed Mensah to Coral Gables, and Pat Narduzzi gets absolutely nothing but grief for it.

From there the running back room conversation takes over — is this current Miami group the best the program has ever had, and how does it stack up against the Gore-Portis-McGahee era? Ro tells the story of the very first recruiting tape he ever watched, thirty years ago, and who was on it. Then the real outrage of the week: Malachi Toney getting left off the ACC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year ballot entirely, while Darian Mensah gets the nod for Miami. The guys argue about whether the one-player-per-team rule makes any sense at all.

Second half of the show goes fully off the rails — a countdown to kickoff on the whiteboard at home, a look ahead at what might be the best Saturday of college football all year on November 7th, some FSU bulletin board material that gets an immediate response, and a tangent about a certain senator's whereabouts that somehow ends with a full breakdown of tortoise lifespans, geography, and mating habits. And yes, they finally land on a name for the show, after floating about six different options in the last ten minutes.
