PM announces expanded student placement payments

Description
The Prime Minister will announce an extension of Commonwealth PRAC payments for students undertaking placements as part of their degrees. From 1 July next year, eligible students in frontline health areas including physiotherapy, paramedicine, pharmacy and podiatry will be able to access approximately $338 per week. The announcement will be made at the Labor conference in Adelaide as the Federal Government seeks to address cost-of-living concerns and regain voter support.
