Ohio Commissioner Faces Consequences
Episode 682
Published 4 weeks ago
Description
A former Scioto County, OH Commissioner and his wife have pleaded guilty to their roles in a “public contracting scheme,” according to Ohio Auditor Keith Faber. Bryan Davis pleaded guilty to felony counts of theft in office, receiving stolen property and filing an incomplete/false tax return. The auditor’s office says as part of his plea deal, Davis will be required to pay $67,000 in restitution. Faber says Lorinda Davis, Bryan’s wife, pleaded guilty to one felony count of tampering with evidence. The Auditor’s office says the Davises are set to be sentenced on Sept. 16, 2026. The first reporter to break the scandal was Total Media news director Bill Shope. I talked to him and to Auditor Faber on this episode.
