Brown County Sheriff’s Investigator Brain Slinger and West De Pere teacher Nicole Firestein are taking on the Anvil Ultra-Tri on Washington Island, a 36-hour nonstop race of swimming, cycling and running not just for the challenge, but for a cause. They’re raising money and awareness for Golden House, helping support survivors of domestic abuse. Two athletes, one incredible test of endurance, and a reminder that sometimes the biggest victories happen when we use our own strength to lift others up.
