Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel is stepping down…in December, following a $12 million dollar investigation into the culture and scandals involving Michigan athletics and specifically the Michigan football program.  We explain why we think the timing of this is crazy as we head into the 2026 college football season.

We also put Missouri football coach Eliah Drinkwitz in his place after piping up during SEC media days and chirping about the Big Ten's non-conference schedule while pointing out Missouri's weak-as-water schedule.

We also compare and contrast the crazy Michigan athletic department with the calm successful Illinois athletic department as they gave their athletic director a big extension.
