Houston Cougars poised for dominance as the NCAA’s 5-in-5 rule tips the balance—will veteran experience finally deliver a national title? Parker Ainsworth spotlights how the new eligibility era supercharges Houston’s developmental model, giving talents like DJ Thomas, Mercy Miller, and JoJo Tuggler extended windows to grow—and setting up the Cougars for sustained Big 12 and national success.

Diving into roster strategy, Parker Ainsworth analyzes how Kelvin Sampson’s focus on retention and player development—rather than recruiting one-and-dones—positions Houston to thrive against flashier rivals. Hear why fifth-year Cougars may be the secret to March glory, how defensive complexity demands elder leadership, and what lessons recent championship runs (and near-misses) reveal about building a true contender. Can this blend of experience and cohesion push the Cougars over the top?
