Description
The Orlando Magic finished their Summer League 4-1, even with many of their main players sitting out the team's final Summer League game on Saturday.
That win revealed what their potential culture might be as the energetic and fast-paced style remained even with the roster players sitting out. The Magic want to make quicker decisions and play faster while forcing opponents out of their comfort zone. It is at least a start.
Clearly the winners of Summer League were Jase Richardson and Noah Penda. Both players looked like they took a step up after their uneven rookie seasons. They both looked like players who can find ways to contribute when the season begins.
But a successful Summer League does not help them make the rotation. Both Penda and Richardson will be needed at some point this season. But while they may be in the conversation, they do not have a rotation spot sewn up yet.
