There are so many people today who are in a wilderness time in their lives. Would you be surprised if I told you that it's the Lord who drew you there? In Jeremiah 31:2-3, in a season of terrible difficulty for the people of God, the prophet writes these words: Thus says the Lord: "The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness. Israel, when I went to give him rest, the Lord has appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore, with loving kindness, I have drawn you.'" He has drawn us at this season, in our juncture as a nation, into a very dry place. We find ourselves in a place in this nation where the only thing we can do now is cry out to God. And He has promised us that He will give us this incredible grace of His presence, His power, His redemption, in the wilderness we find ourselves in. It's time to pray.
