גם גאולה של דבר וענין פרטי – הרי "כיון דשם גאולה עלה" יש לה שייכות עם כללות ענין הגאולה. תוכן ופירוש השם "גאולה" הוא – לגאול את הדבר ממקום הגלות ולהשיבו אל מקומו האמיתי. השם של היפך הגאולה הוא "גולה", וע"י הוספת אות אל"ף שרומז ל"אלופו של עולם", דהיינו המשכת הגילוי ד"אלופו של עולם" באמצע מקום וזמן הגלות ובכל פעולה ופעולה שבחיי יום-יום – עושים מ"גולה" – "גאולה". תחלה "גאולה" במובן הפרטי בנוגע לאדם פרטי זה, וכאשר מצטרפים כו"כ גאולות פרטיות פועלים עי"ז את הגאולה הכללית דכלל ישראל. ומכאן למדים אשר כל פעולה של יהודי בעניני תורה ויהדות במעשה דבור ומחשבה, לעשות מ"גולה" "גאולה" – חשובה לזירוז הגאולה האמיתית והשלימה. ובפרט עפ"י פס"ד הרמב"ם ש"לעולם" יראה עצמו וכל העולם כולו שקול, וע"י "מצוה אחת" בלבד "הכריע . . כל העולם כולו לכף זכות וגרם לו ולהם תשועה והצלה".

Even a personal redemption has a connection to the true and complete Redemption, “because it bears the name geulah.” The name for the opposite of redemption is golah (exile); by revealing the letter alef (which alludes to the Master of the Universe – Alufo shel Olam) within every deed in exile, one transforms golah into geulah. First one experiences his own personal redemption, and then, when many individual redemptions are combined, the Redemption of the entire Jewish people occurs. From this we learn that everything a Jew does in thought, speech, and action, to transform the golah into geulah plays an important role in hastening the true and complete Redemption. This is especially so in light of the Rambam’s ruling that a person should always view himself and the entire world as equally balanced, and with just one mitzvah, he “tips the balance...of the entire world to the side of merit and brings salvation and deliverance to himself and to them.”
