Elena is a mama of one from the UK.
She is an entrepreneur and a founder of two companies, and someone who changed her mind about home birth at 37 weeks pregnant.
She’d spent most of her pregnancy assuming she’d be in a birth centre. Then something changed which she shares about in this episode and she decided to birth at home.
By the time labour started, she was at home, in a pool, comb in hand, positive affirmations stuck to the wall in front of her.
When her waters broke it was filled with meconium, the pressure to transfer was real. The medical system pulls hard in those moments. Elena held her ground anyway - not because she was reckless, but because she had done the work, she trusted her body, and she believed her baby was strong. This is the story that unfolds.
