The missing material includes one of the most satisfying pieces of ancient detective fiction in existence: Daniel exposing the priests of the idol Bel by scattering ash across a sealed temple floor and catching their footprints in the morning. It also includes Daniel killing a worshipped serpent with cakes of pitch, fat, and hair, and a second lions' den account featuring a prophet carried by his hair across hundreds of miles by an angel to deliver dinner.   This companion episode to Arc D covers Bel and the Dragon in full: the narrative, the honest textual history of why it exists only in Greek, the Catholic/Orthodox versus Protestant/Jewish canon divide, and an important theological distinction between this text's argument (a specific idol is fraudulent) and the shedim framework this show built in(the beings behind pagan worship generally are real).
