Arizona Opens New Sports Betting License Window
Description
The Arizona Department of Gaming (Department) announced today (July 14th,2026) that beginning on August 13, 2026 it will begin accepting new applications for limited event wagering licenses – a license type that allows an event wagering operator to partner with a racetrack or additional wagering facility (commonly known as off-track betting) that holds a permit issued by the Division of Racing. The Department may issue up to ten limited event wagering at ten specific locations, as described in A.R.S. § 5-1307. “Applicants for limited event wagering operator licenses will undergo a thorough licensing evaluation process structured to ensure consumer protection,”...
