What a humbling experience.
Normally, when someone says an experience is "humbling" they don't really mean it. They say it in the context of recieving an award or other accolade, an experience that is quite literally the opposite of humbling.
In this case however, I'm using the word humbling in its truest sense. Dr. Michael Wiest is a professor of neuroscience at Welleslly college and a proponent of the orchestrated objective reduction theory of consciousness. Perhaps a better way of putting it, he is a proponent of empiricism, and his empiricism has led him to conclude Orch OR is the best theory to explain our experience as conscious agents.
