In Purr-suit of Health—Does Early Intervention Help in Feline CKD?
Description
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is common in aging cats—but could earlier intervention change the course of disease? In this episode, Dr. Sylvia Conway sits down with Dr. Natalee Holt to discuss the value of early CKD detection, the role of phosphorus in disease progression, emerging biomarkers like FGF-23, and new data supporting early intervention. Tune in for evidence-based insights on screening, monitoring, nutrition, and partnering with pet owners to help cats live longer, healthier lives.
About our guest: Natalee Holt, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), graduated from veterinary school in 2003 from Kansas State University, completed a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University and a small animal internal medicine residency at Tufts University in 2011.
