A graveyard of bills from the 2026 legislative short session  

The General Assembly has left Raleigh for now, but they left behind a graveyard of bills that didn’t make it for a vote and to the governor’s desk. Issues still on the table include updated hemp regulations, election law changes, data center policy, and possible sin taxes. Political reporters Colin Campbell and Adam Wagner dig up the dirt on issues that did not get through the legislature.
