Description

In 1971, a tree-loving astronaut brought hundreds of seeds with him on an Apollo 14 mission to the moon, to be germinated and raised into saplings after returning to Earth. Now, Madison Square Park has one -- and they are unveiling it on Friday, July 16, Madison Square Park is celebrating the arrival of one of these ‘Moon Trees,’ which were the subject of a recent episode of Terrestrials, Radiolab’s spinoff podcast for kids.
