Description
A student from Kilrush is preparing to represent Ireland on the world stage after winning one of the country's top Chinese language competitions.   Martha Leone, a second-year Electrical Engineering student at the Technological University of the Shannon, claimed first place in the university category of the prestigious Chinese Bridge competition and will travel to China this August for the World Chinese Language Championships.   It's not her first taste of international success either, having finished third in the world in the competition last year.   Martha joined Alan Morrissey to talk about her remarkable achievement, her passion for Mandarin and Chinese culture, and what's ahead at this year's World Championships.  Photo (c) Technological University of the Shannon
