TOUCHDOWN FAST: Clemson’s Chris Johnson Jr. Set to ELECTRIFY Offense With Olympic-Level Speed
Description
Clemson Tigers look to ignite their offense behind Chris Johnson Jr.’s "touchdown fast" speed. Is Clemson about to unleash its most dynamic backfield threat since C.J. Spiller?
Morgan Thomas breaks down Johnson’s Olympic-level burst, exploring how new offensive coordinator Chad Morris plans to feature him in a creative, all-purpose role for the 2026 season. Key discussion centers on Johnson’s reported 4.24 forty-yard dash, his potential as a matchup nightmare alongside Gideon Davidson, and the vital need for Clemson to avoid predictability by utilizing Johnson across formations— from sweeps to slot routes and special teams. Will Johnson’s versatility disrupt opposing defenses and open up explosive plays for teammates like Wesco and Moore? With a daunting opener against LSU on the horizon, the pressure is on Morris and the Tigers to maximize Johnson’s game-changing ability.
