Sl: Pod ledenim nebom tundre, kjer so se modre sence raztezale čez neskončne bele ravnice, je skupina učencev vstopila v ledeni svet Arktike.
En: Under the icy sky of the tundra, where blue shadows stretched across endless white plains, a group of students entered the icy world of the Arktika.

Sl: Matej, Anja in Luka so bili med njimi.
En: Matej, Anja, and Luka were among them.

Sl: Vsi trije so bili del šolskega izleta z namenom opazovati divje živali v tem nenavadnem okolju.
En: All three were part of a school trip to observe the wildlife in this unusual environment.

Sl: Matej je bil vznemirjen, a nekoliko prestrašen.
En: Matej was excited, yet somewhat scared.

Sl: Vedel je, da so temperature tu ostro mrazne.
En: He knew the temperatures here were bitterly cold.

Sl: V sebi je skrival strah pred hladom, ki ga je zelo motilo.

Sl: Arktična tundra je bila osupljiva.

Sl: Bilo je poletje in sonce se je svetlikalo nad belimi prostranstvi.

Sl: Prvi dan je Matej preživel blizu Anje in Luke.

Sl: Ko so dan zatem opazovali severne jelene, se je nenadoma razdivjala močna snežna nevihta.

Sl: Veter je postal tako močan, da je Mateja odneslo stran od skupine.

Sl: Bela zavesa snega ga je ovijala in izgubil je smer.

Sl: Srce mu je neskončno bilo.

Sl: Spomnil se je vsakega strahu, a obenem tudi na obljubo, da bo premagal ta strah.

Sl: Počasi je lovil korake v tej beli zmedi, ko se mu je zdelo, da sliši klice.
