A blood donation clinic is being held in Clare today to ease the strain placed on stocks by the ongoing heatwave. The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is running the clinic in Kilrush Community School from 4:50pm to 8:10pm. The service is inviting its regular donors to make an appointment to donate by calling 1800 222 111. IBTS Donor Recruitment Executive Alex O'Connor says it's a challenging period.
