If you have ever finished an install thinking “it sounds great” and still wondered how to prove it, this news brief is for you. We break down CEDIA’s announcement of the RP32 Audio System Measurement and Verification Workshop, arriving in North America for the first time at the CEDIA Education Conference during CEDIA Expo 2026. For custom installation professionals, AV integrators, and system commissioning teams, the message is simple: measurement is no longer a nice-to-have, it is how you protect quality and client expectations.

We explain what RP32 is really aiming to deliver: a structured, repeatable methodology for audio system measurement and verification, with practical guidance on gathering reliable data, interpreting results, and documenting performance in a consistent, professional way. We also touch on why the workshop matters beyond a single brand or toolset: it helps teams standardise processes, reduce guesswork, and create reports that make handover smoother for both residential and commercial AV projects.

A crucial detail is how RP32 incorporates verification against the performance parameters defined in CEDIA RP22 Immersive Audio System Design. That link gives integrators a way to demonstrate whether a system achieves the targeted RP22 performance level, which is especially valuable when immersive audio expectations are high and room variables can be unforgiving. We also cover the essentials you need for planning, including the 31 August date at the Colorado Convention Center and early bird pricing until 17 July.

If you want more practical industry updates like this, subscribe, share the show with a colleague, and leave a review so more integrators can find it.
