In this summer repeat, Patrick and Jonah continue their conversation on heaven and hell by exploring the “three heavens”: the primal heaven from which we come and to which we return in sleep and death, the hidden kingdom of heaven now present on earth through Christ, and the future New Jerusalem toward which creation is moving.

Together they ask what it means that Christ is “the Lord of the heavenly forces upon earth,” and why the earth is the place where human freedom, moral responsibility, and sacrificial love can truly awaken. The conversation moves through the mystery of death, near-death experience, the soul’s journey, reincarnation, purification, and the ongoing work of becoming human beings who can shine with the light of Christ.

At the heart of the episode is the picture that the heaven we often imagine as the final destination is not simply where we go when we die, but the fruit of a long creative process already beginning in us, between us, and on the earth.
