Description
The night after the extraction room, Luna—if that is still her name—sits alone in her editing booth with a tape that does not belong to any timeline. The after-breath has become a third presence: a woman-shaped silence that follows her from room to room. When she finally plays the reel from the chest beneath Beechwood Lane, she hears Arthur's voice naming the cost of separation—someone must stay behind for the other to leave. Alice watches from the doorway, and together they return to the house without the red door to find a room that was never there before: a nursery, frozen in time, with a cradle and a single cassette. The tape inside holds a lullaby. The breathing hums along. Luna realizes the Hollow was never about voices. It was about what was never allowed to be born.
