Luna reaches for the child's hand as the hallway of doors collapses around them. She finds herself in a quiet corridor of the boarded house, the child gone, but a trail of footprints in dust leading to a door marked '1973'. Beyond it, a living room frozen in time: a television playing static, a half-eaten sandwich, and a photograph of a family that includes a girl who looks like the child. Luna realizes the Hollow has hidden the child in a memory that never ended. The breathing in her chest becomes a whisper, and she follows the sound to a closet where a cassette player loops a message from her mother: 'You have to forget her to keep her safe.' The episode ends with Luna holding the photograph, the child's face beginning to blur.
