Description

As Luna presses play, she hears her mother's voice speaking to a child who was hidden—not erased—and the heartbeat in her chest splits into two distinct rhythms. One of them is not her own. She follows the sound of a child's footsteps down a hallway lined with photographs that show two girls growing up side by side, but Luna only recognizes one face. The episode ends with Luna reaching for a closed door at the end of the hall, behind which a child's voice sings the lullaby in perfect time with the second heartbeat.
